About Ross Douthat
Before joining The New York Times in April 2009, Ross Douthat was an editor and blogger at The Atlantic. Douthat is also a movie critic for National Review. He has written many books and co-written many others (Privilege: Harvard and the Education of the Ruling Class (2005), Grand New Party: How Republicans Can Win the Working Class and Save the American Dream (2008), & Bad Religion: How We Became a Nation of Heretics (2012)). Despite his working for New York Times, he lives in Washington, D.C (but I think they're close enough to drive, I don't know). Douthat seemed like an interesting columnist to follow because of his interesting, controversial topics.
